Terms of Use
Draft for the beta. This is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it before opening sign-ups to the public.
1. Who can use Side Quest
You must be 18 or older. One account per person. Don't impersonate anyone. This is a beta: features change, things break, and accounts or content may be reset.
2. Meeting people
Side Quest helps you find things to do and people to do them with. It is not a dating service. We don't run background checks on anyone. When you meet someone:
- Meet in public places, and tell a friend where you're going.
- Get yourself there and back on your own.
- Leave if anything feels off, and report it in the app.
You're responsible for your own safety and choices. Event details come from public listings and may be wrong; check with the venue.
3. What you can't post or do
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate, or sexual content.
- Other people's private information: addresses, phone numbers, full names, or their location without consent.
- Filming or streaming people in ways that violate their privacy, or sending a streamer anywhere private or unsafe.
- Spam, scams, selling drugs, weapons or anything illegal.
- Trying to break, scrape, or overload the service.
Posts are screened automatically and reviewed when reported. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.
4. Your content
You own what you post. You let us show it to the people you chose (everyone, friends, or a group) so the app works. Stories disappear after 24 hours. You can delete your account and everything in it from Me → Account.
5. Live streaming and tips
Viewer requests are suggestions, never obligations. Don't do anything dangerous or illegal for a stream. During the beta, "coins" are play money with no cash value.
6. Check-ins, quests and notifications
Check in only where you actually are. XP, levels and badges are just for fun, with no cash value, and we may reset them or take them away for cheating. You can switch phone notifications on or off at any time.
7. No warranty
The beta is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for what happens at events or meetups arranged through the app.
8. Contact
